Who is Frederick Douglass?

Frederick Douglass was a slave that wanted freedom, he was also a runaway slave. He changed his last name from Johnson then Douglass and moved to London so no one would find him. He got permission to go to the White House and meet President Lincoln. A few weeks later Frederick wrote a news paper called the North Star. President Lincoln made a speech about freeing slaves. That's how Frederick Douglass expressed himself.
